Provides Safe, Affordable Childcare

Childcare is one of the biggest challenges facing working families in San Diego County.  In San Diego County, 77% of parents say finding child care is a significant challenge.

When families cannot access reliable childcare, parents are forced to reduce work hours, leave jobs, or delay career advancement.

Measure B will help San Diego County's childcare crisis by expanding access to infant and toddler care, supporting families on childcare waitlists, and ensuring providers receive fair compensation so they can remain in the workforce and keep their doors open for families.

Measure B will invest in solutions that help working families find and afford quality childcare while strengthening the local childcare workforce. By supporting providers and moving families off waitlists, Measure B will help ensure more children receive the strong start they deserve.
